#weare2gether, on the 8th of may we celebrate turning 2. It's our second birthday party.

We celebrated the amazing success of our community through our second year as a big family.

As much as I was so excited about our party this year and being able to be together, that is something we will get to do later in the year but covid-19 won’t stop our little community that’s for sure.

Our party in my home and yours, I can’t believe this was almost 3 weeks ago already how this new regular life is really flying in.

My awful quiz was saved by Nicolle and her amazing Disney die hard one. You saved me woman, we had a supermarket sweep of the house and some bat-crazy bingo too which poor Karen almost fell asleep during. We had our not so usual prize giving with our great random prize box, along with our life changing awards which this year went to Rosalind and Claire. Both at different stages of their fitness journeys and one a first time mum and the other a mum of three very grown up babies, from what they have achieved over this year and last was really what Coach Lucy is about and that’s why they are this years winners of the #lifechanger award.

These past two years have flown in so fast, yet I feel as if we have been training and been together for years. You guys are my little family and to each and everyone one of you I am so incredibly grateful for.

In these past 2 years we have adapted and grown in ways I never imagined, we made a cookbook at the end of 2019 and published in in 2020 selling out of our 100 prints in less than 2 weeks. Our community travels the world wearing their hoodies and t-shirts with pride. We have brides shredding for their weddings and mums brining their own little kettlebells into this world.

The values of health and wellbeing we share within our community have given me the opportunity to work with local schools during their metal health weeks, I get to do these amazing things because of you guys and what you share. See I am just one person and when I shared the way I felt about fitness to another it grew and was and will continue to be passed on.

Our community is built around so much more than just fitness it’s about the relationships we have built through loving our bodies and looking after our selves, learning to be kinder to our selves and others.

When covid-19 hit us I was so disheartened with everything I had planned going out the window for realistically the rest of the year, with one of the most exciting projects being out on hold. But after these almost 10 weeks of lockdown I’ve come to realise that our home is not within the four walls of any building at all, it’s in us all and we each have a part of this community within us. So emosh it would make you sick I know. We have been able to provide 14 classes each week with 200 faces on a weekly basis. Personal training is on the carpet of your living rooms and we use tins for weights. We launched our Coach Lucy Community page with live workouts private blogs and workout plans, our cuppa with the Coach podcast launched too with our very own Anita Lindsay.

During this time we might be apart but I have never felt alone and can not say thank you enough for that.

You will always be a part if this even if you miss class or are away for a while you will always be welcome.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, I got so emotional when we packed our kit up on our last class and during our zoom party. My family laugh about it and say gosh there she goes again and it’s so truth. I genuinely just feel so overcome with amazing emotions when I look at the screens of see the faces of the people watching me because o never really knew I would be apart of anything like this before.

So thank you.

Lastly a massive thank you to the party prep team and all the work they put in to get us ready for the party.

Lot’s of love always

Lucy x
